NORTH FORK RESIDENCE

 

This 400 square foot semi-intensive residential green roof in Southold, NY, was designed and installed by New York Green Roofs and completed in November 2010. The roof is protected from the harsh environment of the Peconic Bay as it sits at the back of the house, directly underneath an old stand of Cryptomeria trees. The palette supports a highly shade tolerant plant community of perennials and mosses that reflect the manicured landscape surrounding the art deco era home.
