LENOX HILL NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE

This 800-square foot intensive green roof, completed in the summer of 2013, was installed on the third floor of a non-profit organization, which provides an array of human services to the Upper East Side community. Funded partly through the Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Infrastructure Grant Program, the green roof has been envisioned as a place to produce crops for the meals served there, an educational tool, and a therapeutic garden. New York Green Roofs provided design and consultation services on the project.
